#TDE – of shared goals and tasks … #WorldPeace = #KosenRufu

12 Mar

Today’s ‘The Daily Encouragement’ (#TDE) with you.

"As SGI members our work, our mission, is clear. We have the unparalleled task of working for the happiness of all humanity in an endeavor we call kosen-rufu. To participate in SGI activities and challenge ourselves earnestly on the path of our mission are the greatest happiness. It all comes down to whether we can appreciate this point."

Daisaku Ikeda

(Me?… Learned that with that clear goal in mind, most other goals tend to align and eventually come to fruition – "for the sake of Kosen-rufu!", indeed!)

#TDE – Encouragement: Why We Chant… #Daimoku or #NamMyohoRengueKyo #NMRK

The Daily Encouragement: "The Mirror Guidance"

"Originally, every person’s life is a brilliantly shining mirror.

Differences arise depending on whether one polishes this mirror: A polished mirror is the Buddha’s life, whereas a tarnished mirror is that of a common mortal.

Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is what polishes our lives."

#TDE – Strength. Happiness. (Real) Victory #Ikeda #SGI

14 Feb

“Strength is happiness. Strength is itself victory. In weakness and cowardice there is no happiness. When you wage a struggle, you might win or you might lose. But regardless of the short-term outcome, the very fact of your continuing to struggle is proof of your victory as a human being. A strong spirit, strong faith and strong prayer – developing these is victory and the world of Buddhahood.”

#Encouragement: Focal Points and Resilience… #TDE on #Buddhism as explained by #Ikeda, #SGI

I wanted to share The Daily Encouragement for today, with all of you:

"Because life is long, you should not be impatient. What matters most is that you embrace the Gohonzon throughout your life.

It is vitally important to continually challenge yourself to chant even a little more daimoku and to pray before the Gohonzon for the fulfillment of your desires."

Dr. Daisaku Ikeda
