Just that the thought was so powerful, the yearning, lifelong, and yes, the light was also perfect as I trekked to this now familiar spot… pledges to visit Davis-Monthan AFB someday emerged as the subject matter was ultimately as familiar as any… other thoughts, meshed with the fact that these are serious artifacts, now part of what I pray we need less and less of, as they may have achieved the push forward into more civilized ways.

It all depends on our attitude or inner state of life.

With a dauntless spirit, we can lead a cheerful and thoroughly enjoyable life.

We can develop a "self" of such fortitude that we can look forward to life’s trials and tribulations with a sense of profound elation and joy: "Come on obstacles! I’ve been expecting you! This is the chance that I’ve been waiting for!""

Nichiren’s #Gosho – on Lessening Karmic Retribution and facing ‘Obstacles’… (#WorldViews on #WorldPeace, attained through individual reformation)

Sadly (or fortunately?) seeking a “Path of Least Resistance” does not ‘jive’ with what we do – we are supposed to rejoice at encountering hurdles.

Why? ‘cuz then we are supposed to grow in the process of overcoming them.

(That’s how the ‘overdrafts’ are also taken care of, so to speak, when seeing ‘karma’ as a sort of an ‘account’, if you will)

Anywho – snapping this snippet of the ‘major writings’ (Jpn – Gosho) as it is pretty timely, indeed.

(Lessen – Vergessen – Mittagsessen… Yup, I can ramble and alliterate in a few!)… a sort of curse, BTW, when the predominant style is ‘plain spoken’
